NOTICE UNDER SECTION 38 COMMONS ACT 2006

DRUM COMMON

Community of Coelbren and Onllwyn

County Borough of Powys and Neath Port Talbot

GCRE Limited has applied to the Welsh Ministers for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on Drum Common.

The proposed works are:

The proposal is that complementary restoration earthworks be carried out to create 2 looped landform platforms (part in cutting and part on embankment) with associated drainage infrastructure and areas of landscaping and habitat creation including temporary fencing during the construction works

The works will be located on the Drum Common between Coelbren and Onllwyn at and adjacent to the site of the former Nant Helen Surface mine and Onllwyn Washery

Letters sent to the Planning Inspectorate cannot be treated as confidential. They will be copied to the applicant and possibly to other interested parties.
