Global Centre of Rail Excellence Community Roadshow

The Global Centre of Rail Excellence is one of the most important infrastructure developments to benefit the local area in recent years, with positive impacts for the economy, the environment and for local businesses and communities nearby.

Work is now underway to construct the new facility – a world class rail innovation centre on the former Nant Helen opencast site.

We want to talk to local residents and stakeholders about our wider plans for the site and to provide a forum for you to ask questions of the GCRE team.

Please come along to any one of our upcoming roadshow events; meet the GCRE team and find out more about the exciting GCRE plans.

Wednesday 3rd May 2023: 3pm to 7pm – Onllwyn Miners’ Welfare Hall Wembley Avenue, Onllwyn, Neath Port Talbot, SA10 9HL

Friday 12th May 2023: 3pm to 7pm – Ystradgynlais Community Centre, Hendre Ladus, Ystradgynlais, Powys, SA9 1SE

Saturday 13th May 2023: 11am to 3pm – Abercrave Welfare Hall, Tan Yr Allt, Abercrave, Powys, SA9 1XA
